Time for a New Neuro?
Short update: Still feeling like a whino...I have been stumbling around in a Topamax-induced haze since going back on the stuff. It sucks! I can't feel my limbs and, now, even my lips and around my mouth are numb! I can't go anywhere, and, if I stand up for too long, I feel like I'm gonna pass out! I cannot go on like this. I don't know why the doc insisted I stay on this drug?! It doesn't help the migraines, and the side effects are unbearable! I think I will be looking into switching neurologists....again!

When I would miss a dose (or two) after being sick, my side effects were full force as well! Did you jump back up to the 200mg after a short break or wean?

I jumped back in! --Big mistake! Now I am weaning myself off and definitely calling around for a new neurologist. I'm tired of not being listened to and having drugs that don't work for me forced on me just because they have a good track record with other people. I'm not other people, I'm me. And Topamax (and Botox), they don't work for me!! It is so frustrating!! Anyway, thanks so much for reading, and I would love to hear more about you and your struggle with migraines. Would love to have you follow the blog as well!
